The shape is simple on purpose: a shirt collar, a button placket down the front, and a straight column of fabric falling from the shoulder to the floor with no waist seam to interrupt it. Sleeves are wide and roll up to sit above the elbow. A long slit opens the front hem, so the dress moves and shows the shoe. The print is placed as a mural rather than a repeat, with scrollwork and swirling motifs washing across the body and sleeves in muted tones.
